Intention TRIBAL DANCE UNDERGROUND: DO YOU attend or create gatherings to dance all night with friends .. unified by rhythm .. nurturing an atmosphere of respect .. feeling goodness .. the body free, at play .. heeding the voices inside the drum .. a shared frequency .. telepathic field connecting, protecting those within .. light created, reflected and magnified .. friendships becoming community .. carrying our best intentions .. beyond the grip of money .. spreading intelligence .. for healing and harmony .. connected to the greater whole THEN YOU are probably already a member of the tribal dance underground, whether you are using this name or not... A province-wide web already exists connecting the many tribal dance communities in vancouver, the sunshine coast, the kootenays, victoria, the islands and the interior. in the interests of deepening these ties, of nurturing the network and of unifying all points in the web, members of the tribal dance community in vancouver will be hosting a BC GATHERING OF THE TRIBES to which you are all invited. Donations/subsidization: do you need help with travel costs? where possible we would like to help subsidize those for whom it would otherwise be difficult to come for financial reasons… Other Stuff: do you need childcare? WHAT ARE TRIBAL COLLECTIVES? Tribal dance collectives come in many forms and often defy definition; however, they tend to share the following characteristics: -Gatherings are usually noncommercial and are often held outdoors (where climate permits) -Members are organized in a close-knit, family-like structure -Active participation by all who attend is requested -Word-of-mouth is the primary promotion method -Most important, they are dedicated to building a community that exists outside the context of the gatherings WHY PROMOTE THE TRIBAL DANCE COMMUNITY? The Gathering of The Tribes was inspired by the belief that tribal dance collectives are vital to the future of our society because they are dedicated to the ideals of collective social organization, freedom of personal and artistic expression, and openness of belief and lifestyle. By radically rethinking the meaning and function of community, tribal dance collectives are creating a model of positive social and cultural change in society as a whole. Moreover, the experience of dancing together brings healing, understanding, and peace in an otherwise tumultuous and rapidly changing world. He chose "gaia lore" and explains: lore : body of knowledge and traditions gaia : feminine spirit of nature : sentient heart of earth : tribal goddess sensibility our tribe represents a nu skool approach to cultural production and intentional living, this is tha nu lore : we are generating tha nu lore through our words, songs, beats, gathering, ideas, art, visions, dreams, mythologies, actions, expressions and relationships : by understanding and integrating the past with the future we are on the cusp of human evolutionary movement taking humanity into a new time (see dreamspell fer more details) : tha nu lore is directed away from corporate, mainstream, capitalist, material perspectives and instead is informed by an ancient GAIAN sensibility that can be traced back into the tribal past : this means values which honor the earth and each other as beings ov light, values that move against the patriarchic towards a goddess oriented perspective with its focus on life, love and liberty, ecstatik dance, art, free expression, exploratory experience and consciousness expansion, natural time, tasty beats, and a revivified sense of self and no-self gaia lore refers to the emerging culture : as a tribe we are part of the ma trix which extends up and down the west coast which in turn is a part of an emerging global culture : gathering of the tribes, as i understand it, is about uniting the tribes and connecting the resources and lore of each tribe to inform and evolve each other : it is about connexion and networking, coming together to gather the collective energy of transformation in order to lead the human experience forward into alignment with our mother the earthe and our brothers and sisters the wumper : with the fundraiser we align and connext our tribe here in order to prepare and help sacred representatives of our tribe for their trip down to LA to align and connect with the other tribes : we orient our lore and understand our role in relation to each other before we represent and contribute our lore to the collective tribal lore at Gathering of the Tribes nu elvin tribes unite (crystalline castle activation beginning) brother frog |
