Important Update: Event is still a go!
Hello everyone,
As you many already have heard, there was a major rock slide on the highway between Vancouver and Squamish early this morning. The Ministry of transportation has advised it may take up to 5 days to clear the road. Therefore we have secured an alternative location for the event!
This location is 2 hours east of Vancouver, and we will have Directions on the info line 778-892-6915 from tonight (Friday). Note that we will not have the directions on the website but only on the info line.
The Beheshto Crew
As we move into the summer outdoor music festival season, we are very pleased to bring you news of Beheshto's 6th year celebration, guiding you to consciousness with music, dance and workshops in the beautiful BC wilderness. As always, we focus our events around a specific theme related to the great mystical tradition of the Sufi. This year's theme is Suluk – the spiritual journey… The term Suluk means to walk a spiritual path to Ultimate Truth. Suluk involves being ardent in the search for Ultimate Truth, understanding the self, and understanding the essential meaning of life, particularly of one's own life. Since the knowledge of the universe is infinite, the salik is forever gaining an infinite series of illuminations that have neither end nor limit.
We invite you to join us in our quest for truth and understanding in our new "top secret" location in the magical coastal mountains, for the opening circle at 6pm, as we set our intentions for the magical journey to follow. Workshops will run from 1:30pm to 6pm, followed by music, dancing and celebration through the night.
Please come prepared with camping gear, flash light, food, water, garbage bags, costumes, sarongs, tarps, banners, basic necessities and your glowing smile. We are all responsible for this beautiful natural setting. Pack it in, Pack it OUT! Your camp should be left better than you found it. Thank you for being a part of this magical gathering and sharing in community.
