The Fountain ~ Venue & Date Changes

Greetings Beautiful Beings,

Those of you that have followed the Oracle Gatherings journey for a few years or more know that this path is mysterious and does not always lead to where we expect. We now ask you to remember this and embrace The Fountain as it flows in a new direction. The Fountain is moving to a NEW DATE & VENUE.

July 31 -August 2, 2009
Randle, Washington (approx. halfway between Seattle and Portland)

We deeply apologize for any inconvenience. The Oracle Gatherings crew acknowledges that this change will not work for everyone, but after much deliberation we believe that the new venue will be more convenient and offer a higher quality experience for all. The new venue reduces the distance from Seattle by half (same distance from Portland) and the later date should ensure better weather in the western foothills of the Cascades.

About the Venue:
Dragon Sphere Recreation Park is a large festival venue nestled between two of the Pacific Northwest's most important Earth Fountains (Volcanoes), Mt St. Helens and Mt. Rainier. This site offers direct access to the Cowlitz river and has a huge wooden hall with a certified commercial kitchen. There is virtually no limit to the number of participants this facility can support.

Please see http://www.oraclegatherings.com for photos, detailed maps, and directions.

If the new date/location is a problem for you, and you have already purchased tickets through Brown Paper Tickets, they are prepared to offer a refund. Please call 1-800-838-3600 or email support@brownpapertickets.com.

First a spring releases a trickle, which joins its neighbors to become a stream, which again joins with friends to become a river. As this river flows toward the ocean, its path may change from year to year, but the destination is always the same. We hope that you will find yourself flowing with us once again as we celebrate the end of our journey and the completion of the Oracle Gatherings Tarot Deck.

Please feel free to reply with any comments, questions, or concerns and I will do my best to support.

Love & Blessings,

Founded in 2001, The Oracle Gatherings is a series of multi-media events, workshops and forums created by a collective of participating artists, growing to include hundreds from all over the Northwest, Canada, and beyond! The events draw artists of every genre, including DJ's, musicians, dancers, visual artists, actors, video artists, circus performers, and culinary artists who share in creating the fullest experience possible.

Those who have been to an Oracle Gathering have come to expect ceremony, music, dancing, tarot card readers, yoga, meditation, massage, art installations and ritual theater. This formula is what sets these gatherings apart from all other theater, club, and art events. By infusing spirit and celebration, many people have found an open, inviting community waiting for them in the Oracle.

Inspired by the Tarot, an ancient card set that utilizes all the themes of human life and experience for divination and self-discovery, the founders of the Oracle Gatherings created their own deck that define new archetypes derived from present day cultures and recent history. There are 23 cards that form The Oracle Gatherings Tarot Deck. Each event is based on a card from this deck which is drawn at the conclusion of a previous event. These archetypes serve as tools for exploration and study while inspiring participants to experience personal and community transformation.

With a smoke and alcohol-free environment and dedicated kid's room, the events are safe and family-oriented yet maintain an artistic and celebratory atmosphere that has created a thriving artistic community.
