Having experimented with various other genres of music prior to psytrance, Chris Komus borrows from a variety of genres and infuses it into dance-floor heavy, epic, and loud rockin psychedelic music to melodic, groovy, techy and progressive sounds of progressive house and progressive psy, glitched out techno and minimal, wonky-assed bassline and electro, to the sym-phonic cinimeatic and dark brooding dubstep. With a busy schedule of gigs on the Canadian prairies, both as a Live PA act and also as a DJ act, Chris Komus is known as one of the key players in bringing psytrance and dubstep to Winnipeg. For the 2010 festival curcuit, hes booked for Motion Notion 2010 in AB and Entheos Gathering in BC. He has opened for Infected Mushroom (Sept 07 and Mar 06), Hallucinogen (June 07), Mad Maxx (Dec 09), Deedrah (Apr 10), Treavor Moontribe (Oct 09), Nuclear Ramjet (Feb 08), and played at Connect Festival (Aug 07 & 08), and opened for minimal tech acts such as Ryan Elliot (Dec 07) and Maetrik (Apr 08) as well as dubstep acts Excision, Datsik, Vaski, and Ill.Gates in 2009. http://www.loprogression.com

Since 2000 I've been experimenting with various soundscapes and grooves in order to better understand and create an acoustic atmosphere that can fully emerse and entrance an environment. Playing at a variety of gatherings and events where the focus is intentional and co-operative in nature, I've been striving to become sustainable at maintaining a symbiotic relationship with the world around me. My playlists come from a carefully selected pick of the highest quality standard of current ear candy and strive to resonate with the audience.

The existence of Dodd has long been questioned by those who've not been on his dancefloor -- but those who've been there are fast and thorough believers. From his humble beginnings as a dancefloor observer Dodd carefully catalogued the sounds and reactions of the people in order to pinpoint the perfect palette of progressive sounds: blending trance and techno tidbits into memorable dancefloor journeys that transcend sonic expectations. With these dancefloor commandments Dodd has been rocking crowds consistently in Victoria, as well as both stages of the Entheos4 gathering in Summer of '08. Whether you're a believer or not, with the speakers as his chorus, you will be moved by the voice of Dodd... Entelechy describes a vital agent or force which helps direct an organism toward self-fulfillment. From this realm of sonic self-exploration, Entelechy weaves soundscapes ranging from fully ambient and downtempo, thru hip-hop, glitch, breaks, psytrance, trance fusions, and back again. With a background in music theory, composition, arrangement, production and performance, he seeks rich environmental textures as a cornerstone to the myriad sounds and styles telling the stories of our own becoming(s). In a world where the main.stream is clogged up by cash money radio's river of commercialized beat-structures, Entelechy knows the audiophonic evolution of intentional dance music is a key to the freeflow of conciousness and to our evolving relationships to the planet and each other...

Happyfeat

Another Victoria favorite and Stereoshift wunderkid, Happyfeat has been rocking gigs consistently and playing out probably more than any other dj in Victoria. For the past 2.5 years, Colin Barber, aka HappyFeat, has been a constant, positive force in Vancouver Island's electronic music scene. Appearing at clubs, bars, raves, coffee shops, house parties, beaches at sunrise AND sunset, radio shows, and soon to be festivals, this DJ gets around. A flirt with genre types as well, HappyFeat likes to find the newest, most interesting music and mix it with what the audience expects to form a style that's always new and engaging, yet also supremely satisfying. HappyFeat first turned heads by forming his Facebook group: "HappyFeat's Monthly Mixtape," where he created and released a new, 1.5 hour mixtape of a different genre every month for a year. The group took off and now also releases mixtapes by other top local DJs, such as Kenzie Clarke, Angry Samoan, Gatringer, and Plastic Motive! In the past year, HappyFeat has opened for Bass Kleph (Australia), Krafty Kuts (UK), Nom De Strip (UK), Myagi (Canada), James Flavour (Germany), Greg Oreck (Italy), Paul Anthony (US), and Soulfix (Canada). He has secured a residency on Friday nights at Victoria's newest nightclub; the Copper Club, and a monthly residency at Sonica Afterhours. He has also released 7 mixtapes and 5 original tracks and remixes. It's no wonder why HappyFeat has been called "one of the hardest working DJs in Victoria" by local promoters. For HappyFeat, it's all about the energy on the dancefloor and the immense pleasure that he provides to everyone. He's a DJ because he enjoys DJing, and it shows through his crazy stage presence and fast, tight mixing style. y'all know me by now I hope! This will be my victoria homecoming of sorts, and i am stoked to see you all. Briden has been on the decks for about 10 years now, playing clubs, raves, underground venues, and outdoor events. Over the last 7 years, he's fostered the Stereoshift Collective and collaborated to produce a host of exciting events.
