On Sunday, August 15th , Pivot is hosting the third annual Justice Rocks music festival in Strathcona Park! Come join us for FREE live music shows, interactive social justice presentations and festival fun 2pm until 8pm. Let’s take over the park!

We’re in our third year now and Justice Rocks is bringing in an amazing line up of local and headlining bands (coming soon…). Keep checking in to see our updated list of musicians and festival events.

In the past years we had skate demos, a dunk tank, three marching bands, b-boy/girl break off, a carnie birthday party and bands like the Five Alarm Funk, Run GMC, Greenbelt Collective, and Jess Hill. This year we want to make it larger than life! We have an expanded space and are going to take over all of Strathcona Park with music, interactive performances and break out groups.

Justice Rocks is not just a rockin’ party, it’s also a place to engage in progressive social and environmental change. In between your dancing and socializing, you can meet some of the most proactive environmental justice, social justice, youth groups and campaigns around. They are each going to workin’ it to win your vote for your favorite group of the festival.

“We wanted to hold an end of the summer party that brings together music and ideas for social change,” said John Richardson, Executive Director of Pivot. “Music has always been an important medium for expressing the importance of values like justice, and we wanted to bring that to the heart of East Van.”

Justice Rocks is going to be the most memorable end of summer festival you’ll be at. Rock in the Park! Sunday, August 15th!
