Evolver Vancouver, Submerged Studios and Connecting Circles Present:
Unified Field 2012 w/ WESTERLEY
Some time in the making, we are very excited to announce Evolver Vancouver in partnership with Submerged Studios and Connecting Circles presenting a night of music, art, dance, discussion and ideas. We are pleased to be hosting Evolver Spore Network co-founder Jonathan Phillips in a panel discussion facilitated by Sobey Wing.
On the bass music end of things, we are stoked to have Westerley headlining; Wes always brings the heat as you know if you caught his performances at either Bass Coast Project or Shambhala this summer. Also looking forward to the Vancouver debut of Connecting Circles founder 5AM; this boy always slays it on the decks. And of course expect only the finest of tunes from Plus 2, Tesseract and Commoddity.
**Musical Talent**
~WESTERLEY - Lasqueti Island
[Diversity Festival]
From Lasqueti Island on the West Coast of Canada, Westerley has been playing and producing bass heavy music for over a decade.
Starting at a very young age Westerley has played countless parties, festivals (including Shambhala, Bass Coast, Soundwave, VEMF, and Diversity) and club nights alongside a massive list of well known artists such as Pendulum, DJ Fresh, Shimon, Chase & Status, Bassnectar, Eskmo, Freq Nasty, Liquid Stranger, Shy Fx, Deekline, The Freestylers, Grooverider, SS, DJ Zinc, Spoonbill, Gaudi, Twilight Circus, and many many others including opening for DJ Craze & Armanni Reign in Tallinn, Estonia.
Lately Westerley has been focusing on the deeper, more minimal side of dubstep but you can expect to hear pretty much anything if the time is right.
For 2011 he saw his first release on RFR, took on running the Beach Stage at Diversity Festival on Texada Island and had a solidly booked schedule of shows.

**Supporting Acts**
~PLUS 2 - Vancouver
[Tycho Records, Connecting Circles, Ballad]
For 15 years Plus 2 has been involved in the EDM scene and has set himself as original and unique with both his own home cooked sound and a fine ear for trippy little tidbits. A team member of Glitch Hop Forum and Connecting Circles, he hits speaker cones with his own produced mix and blend of Nintendo Crunk and dancefloor beats while dabbling with some of the best Midtempo and Glitch available today.
Now a resident of Vancouver he is setting up shop for full time work on music and will continue to do so into the future and beyond. This is deep friend Nintendo Crunk like your mom never made it.

~5AM - Victoria
[Connecting Circles]
5am's love for music has been with him since day one. Growing up around live bands, his interest for electronica spawned within the last 5 years. Influences like Pink Floyd and Tool quickly transformed into Lighta!, DJG, and Headhunter aka Addison Groove to name a few. Recently focusing on the aspects of production, 5am is creating his own sound, merging a unique blend of wonky, funky house and dubstep to make you move in ways you never thought possible. Opening for such international headliners as Ott and Mimosa, you know this boy isn't just playing around.

~COMMODDITY - Vancouver
[Connecting Circles, Ballad]
Dabbling in mixing for years now, 2011 marked the year that Commoddity started playing out seriously. Last year he shared the stage with West Coast names like Bird of Prey, The Librarian, Naasko and Mazeguider. Proud to be a part of the underground culture in Vancouver, he plays a mix of the deeper sounds of dubstep, minimal drum & bass and eastern infused midtempo. Expect a diverse array of beats to satisfy eclectic tastes in modern bass music.

~TESSERACT - Vancouver
[The Fractory]
Hailing from the west coast of BC, Tesseract brings together a style influenced heavily by the diverse local soundscapes. An obsession with all things audio has developed into a vast collection of weird sounds to draw upon, from heavy bass, low and slow, broken beat and everything in-between. Prepare to be led on an aural odyssey that is sure to leave you wondering what just happened.

**Evolver Salon and Discussion Panel: [8-10 PM]**
~2012 or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Dimensional Shift~
Where will you be when the Mayan Long Count Calendar ends on December 21, 2012? Will you be hiding in a cave from global cataclysm and magnetic polar reversal or dancing the night away at the intergalactic party? Considering that nobody knows what’s going to happen, 2012 functions as an intriguing meme upon which we can project our hopes and fears, dreams and desires. Potentially, the date could represent the coming-to-consciousness of the human species, in which we take responsibility for our role as agents of evolution. From alternative economics to ayahuasca healings, kundalini awakenings to open source democracy, shamanism to sustainability, this Evolver Salon will discuss the visionary ideas and tangible solutions of a new planetary culture creating the shift we long to see.
