The biggest dance party for peace moves into it's 11th year as a global event on September 15 around the world. All are welcomed to join with over 340 locations in 57 countries through music and dance in celebration of peace. Each year a theme is given such as last years focus on the world indigenous cultures. This year all Earthdance events worldwide will join in the H2Om Project being developed which will honor Water.

Over the centuries, Scientists and mystics have honored water’s sacred and restorative properties. It is increasingly evident that this precious resource is now critically endangered. To raise awareness about the importance of water, we have chosen "The Sacredness of Water" as our international Earthdance theme for 2007. All Earthdance events are encouraged to build their events around this theme.

THE GLOBAL OM. Immediately following the global prayer, participants will tune to the specific frequency of Planet Earth (The Schumann Resonance), which is the consistent tone emitted by our planet as discovered by Nasa. Together we will do 3 Global Oms in unison around the world.

In addition to this frequency that will be audible on land, we intend to transmit the same frequency (via specially designed water speakers) to the waters of several major sacred rivers throughout the world (Amazon, Ganga, Nile etc.). This gesture will be an attempt to “homeopathically resonate” the Earth’s water body with our global intention, and thus unite all life, both on land and sea.

Earthdance Vancouver activities begin on Sept.14 with Nourish hosting the pre-party at Radha Yoga Eatery. (see posting at this link)
