INTENTION 2K2 : how stoked are ya?

Once again, time is coming around again for Intention, our community's annual new years retreat & party.

We have meetings to organize the event every Thursday. Currently, meetings are at 7:07pm sharp, at 1941 Turner St. (just off Victoria Drive, a few blocks north of Venables) in Vancouver. Realistically, not everyone can be involved in the organizing. However--as for all things--the more you put in, the more you're likely to get out. Help in the manifestation of this gathering!

There is a Forum set aside for "Intention" at www.tribalharmonix.org for on-line discussion to be carried out. See the menu item 'forums', above, or go to www.tribalharmonix.org/forums/list.php?f=19

Just slightly beyond the grasp of Babylon
We Create Our Reality with Intention

Intention is about: "The joy of taking collective responsibility for the manifestation of reality" (Jeet K).

Once again we will have the run of Camp Elphinstone on the sunshine coast. Gorgeous setting, big trees, ocean close by. Two (very) large common rooms for dancing and activity as well as the "Castle" for smaller focussed activity. Plus lots of cabins, heated, bunk bed styles in effect, each cabin sleeps 12. Also, we have access to the lodges, a little further up the hill, which have their own bathroom, and hold 20-25 and some 30 people. There will also be one (or two) teepees up as well for use for workshops, etc.

The dates this year are from Saturday Dec 28 to Wednesday Jan 1 . The cost is $30-34/each day you attend, depending on whether you got the early registration discount. (This covers the camp rental & 3 meals/day only. That is all you are paying for.) See "Registration" section for important dates and details!

We set aside familee time, to be amongst friends, to share & contribute & receive. This is consciously creating the reality of our making. Inspire others with what you have to give. Be inspired in return. A Celebration of Acceptance, Being, Culture and Creation. "Intention" is gathering to reaffirm, give thanks, and carry forward with our visions and core intentions into the new year 2003. Plus a ridiculous amount of phat music and dancing guaranteed!

GUIDING PRINCIPLE: There is no separation between organizers and audience. You are not paying money for a ticket to an event which promoters are putting together for your entertainment. We are all paying the cost of the camp & food. Everything else we must do together ourselves. (This is part of the fun.)

Anything that happens someone(s) from the gathering must make it happen. This gathering is as much as we make it, hence "Intention". Expect to share responsiblity. Pitch in and help when needed. Cooperate well. Exist as humans, how we were meant to be. Share your gifts. There is room for it. You are welcomed.

Share your knowledge. Provide a workshop, hold a performance (see registration form for details), contribute in a way you are inspired to. Intention seeks to accomodate as many of the visions people have as possible. What will transpire in the end is the sum of all that we have each contributed.

Note: it is expected that all workshops and performances are free of charge.

New Years Eve and the Night-Of Party

We throw a really phat party on New Years Eve. Intention’s population doubles for the Night-Of party. This year, Organix and Dreamtribe are joining forces to put on a trance room, so there will be THREE rooms of music! Tickets will be sold thru a few members, at Organix, and at Zions Gate records in Vancouver and the health food store in Roberts Creek. See here for more details about the party and where to buy tickets. Night-Of tickets sell for $25 advance, $30 at the door and include accomodation and brunch. Thru selling Night-Of tickets we fund the other costs associated with the gathering.

Intention--the New Years Eve party--is not a flyered event. It is spread strictly by word of mouth. We are completely unconcerned about making it "bigger". It is meant for friends and the friends of friends. It is open (new friends are made/the unity of beings beyond all else) yet intentional (trust is essential to depth). Welcome. But take responsibility.
