Meetings and Registration

Registration for the retreat is now closed, but tickets for the New Years Eve party are still available.

Intention gatherings begin long before the new year when participants and planners get together and co-create the event. Come share your talents, meet people who will be attending, and find a way to help make this an incredible experience.

There are many ways to get involved - lend a hand, give a workshop, bring your crafts to the market, bring art, music, records and more... Come throw down -- big or small -- whatever you can do!

YMCA Camp Elphinstone Conditions of Use

These are the conditions by which all participants and groups whom rent this facility must adhere to. If any of the below conditions are not followed, the YMCA Camp Elphinstone management reserves the right to ask the participant or group to vacate the property with full rental fees to be invoiced.

Qualified supervision must accompany each activity and safeguards must be in place to prevent accidents or damage to persons or facilities (i.e. Certified YMCA staff on waterfront)
Damage to facilities, equipment or the environment will be assessed at replacement value and charged in addition to the fee.
Any and all illegal substances are not permitted on the YMCA Camp Elphinstone property at any time.
Due to the public nature of our facilities, pets are not allowed on site.
Outdoor campfires must only be set in designated campfire sites and must be completely extinguished before leaving the campfire site. While using the fireplace in the Fireside Room, the fireplace screen must be closed and fires extinguished when not attended. All fires must first be okayed through the YMCA on-site facilitator.
The waterfront dock is off limits to all guests without a YMCA staff member present at all times.

Fee information

Intention is a five day community retreat. We eat together (all meals are included), room together (you must bring your own bedding), do workshops together (got something to share? give a workshop!), and dance together. The total cost per person is $40 per day-- $29 for Camp Elphinstone, and the rest for d�cor, sound gear, DJ gear, workshop supplies and everything else that goes into making Intention happen. Nobody gets paid--organizers, workshop leaders, DJ's, performers and participants do it all for the love. Included in the daily rate is a small contribution to the subsidy fund, and any additional contribution that you can make to the subsidy fund helps Intention remain accessible to everyone in the community. Please check off the days that you will be attending. To maintain the community atmosphere we require a minimum stay of 3 days, unless you are attending the New Years Eve party only.

This year the camp is charging us per DAY - not per night. This means that each day you are registered for includes all meals from breakfast to dinner. This arrangement was necessary in order to keep costs as low as possible. Unfortunately it means no discounts if you arrive later or leave earlier in the day.

Partial subsidies are available on a firstcome, first-serve basis, with priority given to children of participants.
