Workshops at Intention are integral to
building community, assisting in deepening our awareness of self, other, community,
and the world. In many cases people have led workshops for the first time at
Intention and gone on to offer them elsewhere. Here is a space to reach a receptive
audience and invite feedback from peers. To offer a workshop, start by e-mailing
workshops@intentiongathering.org with a description including: 100 word workshop
description, 40 word presenter bio, and what kind of space you require (any
equipment and supplies must be provided by you). We'll do our best to accommodate
you! Otherwise there will be some spaces blocked out for impromptu workshops
decided on a first come first server basis. There will be a sign-up board in
the communal kitchen area.

freewriting exercises. Freewriting sets your inner critic aside so you can
play on the page with your fresh, fantastic mind. We'll write and share in
a safe space. Whether you're crafting cold hard
corporate prose, or spelunking in your psyche for spiritual growth, freewriting
offers a great starting point. Please bring things to write with and on, if
possible.

Love is celebrated all over the world as one of our most cherished values.But
what is love? What does it mean to love? How can we live in love? In this workshop
we will connect with the aliveness of what love is for us, explore the human
history (and herstory!) of power and compassion, and share strategies to live

An hour discussion focused on educating and empowering women's womb wisdom.
Hear inspiring stories, ask personal questions, learn new ideas, reclaim your
sacred blood and unite in sisterhood. Our intention here is to open the temple
doors and enter the mystery of the Red Moon. Suitable for all ages. Circle
facilitated by Jasmin.
~Electronic Musical Alchemy~ with Khan
Join us as we explore the evolution of electronic music from the point of view
of a DJ, and discover the transition from using Vinyl back in the days to now
having multitude of options like Finalscratch/Serato/Ableton with midi controllers,
blurring the line between DJing and Production! We will look at how this evolution
has affected the intention of spreading consciousness through electronic music.
This workshop will be in a open discussion format with possible hands on with
laptops and equipment. I also invite musical Gurus both from the Production
and Djing side to come together in discussion, as I am merely a facilitator,
and I know many of you have more knowledge on a lot of aspects of this than
me.
I have been actively involved in spreading the flame of consciousness through
music starting off as a regular Vinyl DJ, and over the years transitioning
into all the options available today for electronic music production and Djing,
over the last 8 years!
~ ON THE PATH TO MORE HAPPINESS~
Hakomi is a gentle way of exploring the patterns and habits that keep us in
unnecessary suffering. Curious about how you relate with others and yourself?
Come with a willingness to experiment in a way of being that unfolds new possibilities.
Hakomi is the life work of Ron Kurtz and combines the Eastern philosophies
with Western psychotherapy. It is based in mindfulness and loving presence.
Amber Wood is a student of the Hakomi method. She combines her work as an arts-based
educator with her love of somatics. After Intention Amber heads to the mountains
to guide a group of teens into the high alpine in an adventure of reconnection.
Angela Davis is a Certified Hakomi Therapist. She has trained with some amazing
teachers, including Ron Kurtz, the creator of the method. One way she hopes
to continue this path of learning is by sharing this workshop with other curious
self-studiers.
DUNDAAL with RARA AVIS
A unique discipline that fuses elements of breath, movement, warrior arts,
sound healing and meditation. A blending of practices from India, Egypt and
Central America - combined with a contemporary tone that allows one to explore
the relationship between ancient mysticism and modern art.
No previous experience of any kind necessary. Please bring a soft pillow, Blanket
and yoga mat, if you have one :)

~Sex Love Intelligence~ with Julia Saunders
Practice negotiating sexual encounters that you've been fantasizing about but
haven't had the courage to ask for/about - an exercise that went very well
at Intention 8 -running it again - but shorter.... and 40 min an open Q&A
with Julia. This Q&A will provide an opportunity to get answers to those
'burning' questions
you've wanted to ask about sexuality and sexual relationships and never have,
or have not been able to trust the source of the answer.
Materials needed: after practicing 'negotiating sexual encounters' (paper,
pen, imagination, and courage is all you need), you will have an opportunity
to ask questions of Julia for the open Q&A session in the second half of
the workshop. Journal or paper you want to make notes is a good idea. Let's
learn from each other!
Julia teaches youth and adults about healthy sexuality and relationships. She
brings to Intention 8.5 a wealth of knowledge and experience about sexuality – which
is backed by 8 years of higher education at UBC: BHE (Critical Studies in Sexuality)
and her currently almost complete M.Ed. If you missed Intention 8's practice

Jay Michael. Open to receive the guidance you need for your journey by tuning

the frequency of fear back to love.

Have you found your tribe? Have you discovered the power of Community? If not,
how does one create this? This workshop explores the inherent healing and the
magic that occurs when a group of people unite as a collective, as a village.
It will also look at the spiritual backbone of such an entity, and how to consciously
nurture and honor it.
~ Sacred Tools~ with Mikael
A presentation on sacred geometry,dowsing,healing modals,crystals,orgone generators/chembusters,
the global grid map/vortices,and channeling. Mikael has set up his crystal
grids at Intention 7.5 Summer Camp, Pantheon, Entheos Gathering and many other
events and locations.

As much as possible this time around the workshops have been spaced apart to
allow for more involvement by the overall community for each focus while allowing
lots of room for other things or anything wanting more intimacy and less people
or simply networking opportunities.
The open spaces are numerous as you can see allowing for topics and areas of
interest to be explored that aren't covered in the program thus far. There
will be an area to list things you have to offer the gathering or wish to learn
about in case anyone can fulfil the request.
With the introduction to council on Friday there will be a basic template for
people to create their own councils on topics and draw from the tools shared
which can also be expanded according to the experience and wisdom of those
participating.
The films are being brought to stir discussion on how we as a community network
can prepare for the future together in balance with the earth and with future
generations in mind.
Out of respect for presenters it is requested that everyone be mindful of time,
both presenters and participants and consider bringing battery powered alarm
clocks- no cellphone reception at Crystal Creek for those who use their phone
for a watch- and to plan your eating schedule carefully to make sure you make
it through the day and look after yourself in a healthy way.
